Event Details
Objective: Appeal to the fashion conscious consumer through promotion of Vancouver’s fashion
industry including retailer & designer brands and boutiques showcasing what is available to them in the
Vancouver marketplace.
Goal: Develop a fashion week that is both an industry & consumer event that represents Vancouver.
Events include runway fashion shows with showroom shopping and exhibits, musical & artistic
performances, retailer store VIP shopping events, VIP receptions, art exhibitions and dining out
experiences throughout the city.
This unique platform includes showroom shopping with exclusive items seen during the show. There
will also be local art exhibits and music performances. Furthermore, they will partner with some of the
city's top restaurants to create a special 3 course dinner menu with partial proceeds being donated to
the charity associated with FMA Fashion Week.
The Sarah McLachlan Foundation is the charity of choice for FMA Fashion week 2010, with funds being raised from ticket sales, auctions and restaurant partnerships.
Opening Night Awards Reception -
Awards will be given to recipients in the following categories: Fashion, Music, Art and Canadian Achievement. Recipients will be announced to the press prior to the show!

Vancouver fashion week
Founded by producer Jamal Abdourahman, Vancouver Fashion Week has been world-wide renowned since its launch in 2001. Taking place bi-annually during spring and fall, the week focuses on celebrating both local and international designers, and emerging talent. VFW has grown to showcase fashion designers from around the globe, and international media coverage including Le Monde, The Guardian, Elle Canada, Flare and Sina. 2010 attendees included Hollywood stars such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, as well as Canadian music giants Sam Roberts and Alanis Morrisette.
